Creo 4.0 release date???

RE: Creo 4.0 release date???

Hi,

Roadmap from PTC states that datacode F000 for Creo Parametric 4.0 is estimated for November 2016.

Which means a usable build, above M050, might be available in 2 years from now.

RE: Creo 4.0 release date???

check this for possible tryout
http://www.ptc.com/cad-software-blog/try-out-cre0-...

there will be a solidworks-like dynamic context menu, new pattern options (probably useless unless you do 3d printing) and windows will be activated automatically, not manually via a menu option or a button like now.

RE: Creo 4.0 release date???

Not really into beta testing for them, too many limitations:
The license automatically expires 5 August 2016.
Once you've installed the software, make sure you test the new geometry selection tools, Model based definition, and design for additive manufacturing capabilities.
Any data created using sneak peek cannot be opened in any commercial software. That is, the data created can only be opened in sneak peek.

Particularly since I still use WF4. Every time I try to use Creo I have to buy a new monitor after I throw a brick through the old one.

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

RE: Creo 4.0 release date???

yeah we also use wf3 (for variant engineering though with parametrics, so it's not very cad intensive).
i like the old interface better then the new one.

it think solidworks has it better though with the tab interface, it's better organized for one.
