pump tripping (pump trip)

pump tripping (pump trip)

(OP)
Hi everyone,
As am not a native english speaker there are some words that i can't understand such as "pump tripping" or pump trip , can anyone explain it to me. Thank you in advance

RE: pump tripping (pump trip)

It means the pump has stopped running as a result of the control system turning the pump off, known as "tripping" the pump.

Example causes are high high pressure, low low pressure, low flow, excess amps, over heating of motor, excessive seal leakage.

The things which can "trip" the pump are normally shown in the Cause and Effects (C & E) diagram.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
