i used stormcad for the design of the buried culvert, for a steep slope i provided 4 drops with 50m step length, the velocity in the culvert reduces. but when i see the profile there is no hydraulic jump detected..i thought it is due to it. i am unable to find out the reason..please help.

There is significant energy dissipation in each of the drop manholes. The only hydraulic jump that may occur will be caused by the backwater from the catch basin.
