Ductile Iron elevated temperature properties
Ductile Iron elevated temperature properties
(OP)
Good evening all,
For ASTM A395 60-40-18, I need the Yield and Tensile properties at elevated temperatures, up to 450F. From ASME B31.3 Table A-1, you can back-calculate what the minimum Yield and Tensile might be, but I need to find a more precise number.
Anybody know where I can purchase a standard that would list this data?
thanks, Michael

So, the tensile values at ambient temperature could be used to 800 deg F.

Thanks so much for jumping in. Your comment and reference to ASM handbook, Volume 1 was very helpful. I purchased the Ductile Iron segment (pages 33-55), and found both the quote that you referenced and also a figure that plots test data for Yield and Tensile going up to 1000 F for Ferritic Ductile. The values align very nicely with ASME B31.3's data.
