Contact force/stress - visualization

Contact force/stress - visualization

Contact force/stress - visualization

(OP)
Hello,

I have made a model of 5 solid parts, one on each other, and assigned Interaction between them. For Interaction property I have defined Cohesive behavior, friction and hard contact. And I have assigned sliding of one part. In results I want to see if the limits I have defined for stress are overreached and where.

1. In filed output there is option Cstress but in results I got CPress. Why?

2. Is there any possibility to visualize Contact force/stress (for shear and tension) in Abaqus/Explicit?

Regards

RE: Contact force/stress - visualization

1. CSTRESS is divided in the 3 components CPRESS, CSHEAR1 and CSHEAR1

2. I think some variables depend on the usage of general contact or contact pairs. See Users Manual 4.2.2 Abaqus/Explicit output variable identifiers

I have checked it now. CSHEAR is not available for general contact analyses!

And for contact pairs it is not allowed to define cohesive and damage interaction property.

Correct if I am wrong.
