Export Step Assembly as External References With Assembly WCS

Export Step Assembly as External References With Assembly WCS

(OP)
Hi,

I am struggling to find a solution for exporting step files for our manufacturing environment. I need to be able to export a mold assembly with these criteria:

- Export Assembly As External References
- Maintain location in relation to Assembly WCS
- Export all geometry on layers 1 – 5
- Create the step files using the same name as the individual part files

I’ve used a parasolid journal that is able to do all of this except the layers part (I need to be able to control layers for export so that certain text is exported and not other curves). However because of our cam software, we need to use step. The most important goal is to export individual part files, while maintaining their assembly locations. Is this possible?
