Exporting assembly level into individual component step files

Exporting assembly level into individual component step files

Is there a way I can export an entire assembly into individual component level step files in one batch action? We have to give suppliers .stp files for quoting and I have an entire assembly worth of components (~100) that I need to convert to step files and I was really hoping there was an easier way to do it.

RE: Exporting assembly level into individual component step files

File > export > stp
when selecting parts to be exported do not click at individual parts but select them all at once with rectangular system : point the cursor at upper Left corner and then drag the cursor across whole assembly.

RE: Exporting assembly level into individual component step files

On the STEP export dialog, go to the "Advanced" tab and tick on the "Export Assembly as External References" and then set the export components as STEP (See image below).
This will then export a separate STEP file for each component, if you select the entire assembly.
