NX9 Sketch: Fillets Flipping to Loop
NX9 Sketch: Fillets Flipping to Loop
(OP)
The best way to explain is the attached but in brief I need a part with 2 vertical legs and an angled middle. Basically take a straight piece and add 2 bends. Now I need it to work in context for both directions. When I flip my sketch to the other direction the blends in the sketch turn to loops. I understand why this is happening. I am looking for a solution that will leave a normal fillet in its place. I can achieve my solution by leaving the fillets out of the sketch and adding blends to my part after but to locate the center of the bends I need to do some trig work. I was hoping to avoid that. Any suggestions?

Based on your username, you might like this sugestion:
Leave the fillets out of the sketch and add blends features later as you mentioned in your post. Use the "extract virtual curve" (associativity: on) to extract the centerlines of your blends. Now use an associative "measure" feature to measure from your desired object to your blend centerline - no trig necessary.
