ASCE 7-05 figure 6-21 force coefficients

(OP)
I am calculating the wind load on individual members for an exterior steel frame (open building).

Using ASCE 7-05 section 6.5.15 "design wind loads on other structures," does the force coefficients include the windward and leeward wind against the face of an individual member?

RE: ASCE 7-05 figure 6-21 force coefficients

No. This section is for 'other structures' so it's likely that not all structures that fit into this category can develop internal pressures.

RE: ASCE 7-05 figure 6-21 force coefficients

Yes. Design wind force "F" for other structures (per Section 6.5.15) includes windward and leeward pressures.

RE: ASCE 7-05 figure 6-21 force coefficients

I severely misread the question; there's no mention of internal pressures anywhere in the original post, so disregard my earlier post. I blame it on the lack of coffee this morning.. I agree with Hokie, it includes both leeward and windward pressures.

RE: ASCE 7-05 figure 6-21 force coefficients

I usually use a Cf=2.0(total) on all exposed members....
