Hello,

Does anyone know where to find information regarding to 9 1/2 United States Steel Corporation Super "C" Joist? Or know anything about this joist?

I was only able to find a hard copy but is in the Clemson U library at South Carolina.

Thanks.

If this is a historical structural steel section, then try looking it up in the AISC Historical Shapes database. I think it is a free download at aisc.org.

It sounds like an early light gage c-shaped joist. What do you need to know about it? If you can measure its dimensions and gage, you can compute the section properties or match it up with something similarly sized in a current catalog.
