SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

(OP)
Good day all,

My aim is to block the Incomer's over current and earth fault setting once the Feeder relay picks up a fault.
Using the SPAJ 141C module SPCJ 4D24. The Feeder relay (SPAJ 141C) sends out a Start Signal to the incomer (once a fault is picked up) on terminal 74 & 75 (Start 1) with SGR3/1,3,5, and 7 switched on (1).

The Start signal Start 1 is connected to the Incomer, terminal 11&12 (External Control). The settings in SGB1/1,2,3 and 4 is switched on (1) to block the over current and earth fault pickup on the incomer.

Once the Feeder clears the fault and the start signal falls away, the incomer then has no blocking signal on the External Control.
I simulated the test using an Omicron CMC 356, with current channel A on the Feeder and current channel B on the Incomer. Using the State sequencer module I injected both currents so that the relay picks up a fault and sends out a start signal to the Incomer, but the problem is that the Incomer does nothing with the External control signal. Hopefully I'm missing something small.

Thanks for helping.

Do you have a wetting voltage applied?

RE: SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

What is time delay for incomer blocked overcurrent function?

SPACOM series...history...

Thank for the reply.

@ DTR2011, No the SPAJ only gives out a dry contact (Think i see the problem). On the wiring diagram attached page 4, the external control picks up a relay U2, so I need a voltage? I will try to get that voltage with a additional relay but hopefully it does not effect the time delay.
@slavag, I want to send out a block if the feeder relay picks up a fault downstream so that the incomer overcurrent function start blocking when the feeder relay initiate the pick-up (start signal). The incomer must then be blocked until the feeder trips and stop sending out a start signal. If the fault is not clear, the incomer will then clear the fault.

RE: SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

Yep, but time setting of incomer must be about 100ms, not 40ms.
I make lot of such application with SPAJ140, SPAJ144.
Please make sketch of your testing and attach here. Of course you need connect minus to block input and plus to conntact

RE: SPAJ 141C Blocking (BS)

Hello.
Connection is OK.
Please provide direct connection of + to Incomer relay terminal 10 ( always block ) and check again.
Maybe some mistake in SGB/SGF,
Please take in account time delay of blocked stage must be 100ms

Actually you make right SGB1/2/3/4 in 1.

Thank you Slavag, its working! Implementing it on Thursday. I've played around with the time delay, 100ms is the safest time delay wink. 80ms block and if I run the test again it trips and then blocks again.
Thank you your help.
