CV Sizing - Advice required
CV Sizing - Advice required
(OP)
I am selling products of a US vendor for rotary control valves.
I received an inquiry for geothermal power plant indicating dual phase flow
DESCRIPTION UNITS MINIMUM FLOW
MASS FLOW RATE (2Ø+NCG) tph 106.5
MASS FLOW RATE (STEAM) tph 0.5
MASS FLOW RATE (NCG) [Note e] tph 1.0
MASS FLOW RATE (LIQUID) tph 105.0
However sizing software is not capable of sizing directly dual phase flows.
What would your suggestions be?
I can size the valve only for NCG considering complete flowrate
and make same thing for liquid and analyse the results?
Would this work?

Alternatively look at Emerson software http://www2.emersonprocess.com/en-us/brands/fisher... or Nelprof 6 from Metso: http://www.metso.com/products/control-valves/nelpr...
How are you going to sell the product if it doesn't do what the client needs?

Each software is made acc. to vendors parameters thus someone else' software
wont help me either.
My question is more conceptual. About making an approach.
Beside product is capable of controlling - but to be competitive I need to size
for exact size.
Additionally with metso you can consider 2 fluids but not 3 or 4.
So theorotically problem is same.
