what kind of shallow footing should i use ? if combined how ?

(no software allowed)

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

Are the column loads similar? If so I would just make a large square footing that allowed the C.G of the footing to line up with the C.G. of the load.

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

no they have different gravity loads

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

You could still provide what I'm describing, you'd just need to shape the footing so the centre of load is in the centre of footing to allow for uniform pressure to be used.

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

Agree with jayrod. Make it one footing. You will have some negative bending, so provide top steel.

Thanks for attention guys but What shape do you suggest in this case?

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

Some form of rectangle likely.

EhabFaisal:
There isn’t anything in the bldg. codes which says that the axis of a footing must line up with the column grid lines. Draw a line through the centers of the two columns, and make that the long axis of a single rectangular combined footing supporting both columns.

RE: Two single(pad) footings overlap, columns are not on the same axis.

Agree with the above. Make a line through the lines of the acting loads, and make width/length/height according to bearing capacity of the soil below.

You have your pay alot of attention when checking for sheae
