Updating attributes on wave-linked objects

(OP)
Hello everyone!

If I make WAVE-links of objects which have attributes, they are copied along with the object. But if I change the value of the attributes at the source objects, the values at copies are not updated by default. I found that using 'Update for external change' does the job, but maybe some other way exist? 'Update for external change' is quite 'heavyweight' and does the complete update of the session that is not always desirable.

RE: Updating attributes on wave-linked objects

That may be about as good as it's going to get. However, I would call GTAC and have them verify that since we've been talking about making things like attribute updates, since this is a very lightweight operation, that it should be just automatic or at least an option to always update or not, that way you could have them open an ER so that we get your 'vote' for this.

Thank you! I think I'll do just that.
