Flanged HDPE to Stainless Pipe

Flanged HDPE to Stainless Pipe

Flanged HDPE to Stainless Pipe

(OP)
I have a low pressure/slight vacuum gas application in Australia where I require 750 mm sch 40 stainless pipe with am ID of 743 mm. A portion of the piping will be buried, so for the buried portion, I plan to transition to PE100/PN10 DR17 HDPE. Because I need to maintain an ID of at least the same as the SS ID, I have selected 900 mm HDPE with an ID of ~790 mm. So, to connect the two together, I will need to use a 900 x 750 SS reducer to bring the SS up to the approx. OD of the HDPE. On the HDPE, I will need a stub end and backing flange, but can someone tell me what to use for the mating flanges? I can't seem to find the proper flange for each that would properly mate to each other. Thanks

I had to transition to PVC in the past with a threaded flange (steel) and used a male npt x female socket coupling (pvc). Not sure if that would work with HDPE…

900mm flange to En 1092.

See this lot. Look under accessories for the backing rings. And pupped fittings for the stub flanges.

Can someone tell me what the dimensional flange standard is for each of the mating flanges based on Australian standards? I assume BS EN 1092 is not an Australian standard, but perhaps I'm wrong?

RE: Flanged HDPE to Stainless Pipe

Try iso 4427 then

bimr:

I have accounted for this, but my question was only pertaining to connecting SS to HDPE.

Thanks.
