BOM vs 3d

BOM vs 3d

BOM vs 3d

(OP)
Hi,
We do 3d mold designs in Catia, with an average of 200-300 different components. We export to an excel file for purchasing, which is no problem. Issue is when we send our 3d designs to our customer (usually in step format) and the BOM in excel, he has no way of correlating between the 2. Just wondering if there is a simple way to do this I am overlooking

RE: BOM vs 3d

Hi,
In the first case you should be having an unique part numbering for every part with which you should be able to identify. In the second case you can identify the parts in the excel by adding an image icon in the excel extracted from CATIA image option.

You can capture the image of the 3d model in catia with the tools...image...capture option.

RE: BOM vs 3d

Hello Fernando,

Is there any catscripts/catvba available to export the BOM from excel sheet to Catia Drawing.
I need to import BOM (Main product and its sub assemblies) to the Catia Drawing as a table.
Appreciate your help in this regard.

Thanks,
Mallikarjun

RE: BOM vs 3d
