Good Morning Guys,
A quick question: Do Siemens still make a MV softstart? The 81000?? And who is the third party who this softstarter is really from??.....Motortronics of something?
I remember a number of years ago going to Thailand to fix a "Siemens/Motortronics softstart....but I have just had an inquiry from a customer and to be honest I don't keep abreast of MV developments so much.
Many thanks for your help and support...and may I wish you all a happy CNY...!!..

RE: Siemens MV Softstart

Depends on the vintage. It was originally Solcon out of Israel, then they changed to Motortronics, then back to Solcon, now I hear it may be Aucom. Look at the keypad and compare it to those vendors, Siemens always used the same keypads the vendors gave them.

And yes, they still sell them, but generally only as part of a bigger lineup where it is packaged with other gear they really make. If you want to buy just a MV soft starter, their sales force tends to be disinterested because it's a brand label product and they can't really compete head to head against their suppliers.

Hi
You are correct; based on the keypad and control module, the 81000TM is actually a Solcon HRVS-DN.
