Face blend..."multiple solutions exist"?

Face blend..."multiple solutions exist"?

(OP)
Hi,

Attempting a large face blend using NX9, two preview fillets appear only one of which is correct. I get a dialog box telling me to place cursor or pick point near desired solution. Am I supposed to pick a line or edge or what? no matter what I have tried, when I click "OK" the fillet I want disappears and i am left with the wrong one. How does this multiple solution dialog work?
Thanks

Steve

RE: Face blend..."multiple solutions exist"?

pick close to where you think the center-point of the radii will be.

You cant select anything or any location when that dialog box is up.

RE: Face blend..."multiple solutions exist"?

I am on NX8.5, and just ran into the same issue.
Under the Select Face Chain 2 menu is a Specify Point menu, go to the pull-down for that and select Cursor Location and pick the point in space where the center-point of the radius is.

But one tip when using Cursor Location . . . The point will be on the X-Y plane of the WCS, so you need to have your WCS oriented properly.

Thanks.
