Abaqus input plugin for Notepad++??

Abaqus input plugin for Notepad++??

(OP)
In continuation with thread799-324132: Notepad++ with Abaqus Language Keyword and Highlighting and thread799-355415: ABAQUS Input file editor with highlighting and code folding capabilities -

Is there any development in this regard lately (Abaqus input plugin for Notepad++)?

Something like vim-abaqus would be of tremendous help with syntax highlighting and code folding.

NB: Dear IceBreakerSours (Bioengineer), could you please share with us how you managed to achieve code folding in Notepad++?

RE: Abaqus input plugin for Notepad++??

Someone did it before I extended its functionality. Here is the link:

My version is attached. It is straightforward XML scripting once you get familiar with it. That said, as I recommended in one of the links you posted, gVim is pretty good at handling large files and Notepad++ is NOT. At one point, I had a command prompt window inside Notepad++, document map enabled, input decks as heavy as hundreds of MBs, and code folding was unbearably slow.

Your one works perfectly! Yes NP++ is slow compared to gVim. Any idea how to change the coloring scheme in your xml?? Black background is less than eye candy.

RE: Abaqus input plugin for Notepad++??

Background can be set directly inside Notepad++ in Settings->Style configurator->Select theme. The rest of the highlighting may not have sufficient contrast so you will need to go to Language->Select User Defined Language-> Select Abaqus (or whatever name you assigned to the imported file) at the top->Select one tab at a time and play around with Styler font color options until you find what you like. You may do the same in the XML but I suspect you'll need to know the HTML code for your favorite colors.
