Direct coupling between IC Engine and Reciprocating Pump

Direct coupling between IC Engine and Reciprocating Pump

(OP)
Can I use direct coupling between shafts of IC Engine and Reciprocating Pump?
If yes which coupling is best?

IC Engine has 128 HP @ 1700 RPM, 6 cylinder Turbo
2-1/4" Dia Shaft with 5/8" square key

Reciprocating pump has 1-5/8" Dia Shaft with 3/8" Key
2000 PSI, 65 GPM

RE: Direct coupling between IC Engine and Reciprocating Pump

No a very precise question.

In general you can connect two regions directly with a tie constraint or by using two couplings (or coupling+connector+coupling).
