Solenoid Valve Clicking Sound
Solenoid Valve Clicking Sound
(OP)
Hi,
Heard clicking sound when on/off the solenoid valves. I know it's normal to judge work or not, but does that thrust hurt seat really much? Very curious. Thanks!

RE: Solenoid Valve Clicking Sound
Solenoid valves have a vast number of constructions and types for an equal large number of fluids and gases. Despite this, you answer is 'no'.
Any solenoid valve with a clicking sound (from start) is constructed in such a way that the sound is normal. The sound will not necessarily be connected with the sealing at all, but could come from pilot (anchor/solenoid) going against top of housing when opening, or stem-parts (or pilot opening parts) going against each other in two-stage (forced lifting types) valves.
