Application of load in axisymmetric electric field analysis with APDL

Application of load in axisymmetric electric field analysis with APDL

(OP)
Hello!

Can someone help me on the following issue?

I have an axisymmetric geometry and I would like to perform an axisymmetric electric field analysis in order to compute the current density distribution in an inductor. In order to apply the load I need to apply current on one symmetry plane and V=0 (grounding) on a second symmetry plane. In 3D this is no problem but in the case of my axisymmetric model the current flow is in the direction of the rotational symmetry. Is it possible to model this situation axisymmetrically or is it absolutely necessary to go to 3D?

Thank you all!
