RE: ASME U stamp

hi jay, you could hire a AI and he are going to consult you whatever so that U stamp certification could be achieved. Going into ASME 8 the necessary of AI is mandated to certify during the process.

RE: ASME U stamp

The list of documents is based on contractual requirements. The minimum is a stamped vessel with a data report from the vessel Manufacturer, and National Board registration (if requested).

RE: ASME U stamp

You have to have a Quality Control Manual, have it approved by National Board, and follow it "to the letter". In addition to the above mentioned documents.

Unless you are planning on making dozens of vessels, obtaining a "U"-stamp is prohibitively expensive in both time and money. And your first step is to hire an experienced QC manager. Second step if for you and your QC manager to consult with an AI [and pay him]. Third step is to convince your management that when the the QC mgr says 'stop' that you are legally required to stop; when he says 'No', that is the answer. Period.
