Optimization Process cannot run an explicit analysis. Abaqus error.

Hello guys,

I am working on a model that I am trying to optimize. I used the CONWEP feature in Abaqus to create blast loads, I want to optimize the model such that displacement is reduced. When I tried to run the optimization process I got an error saying that Optimization process cannot run an explicit analysis and that design responses aren't available for dynamic, explicit analysis. Could anyone help me with this problem? Forgive me if this is a silly question but I am a fairly beginner user.

RE: Optimization Process cannot run an explicit analysis. Abaqus error.

It means that explicit solver cannot be used with the optimization module.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way for me to optimize my model under explicit analysis?
