Remote Force in Cylindrical Coordinate System

Remote Force in Cylindrical Coordinate System

Remote Force in Cylindrical Coordinate System

(OP)
Hi all,

I have a problem in Ansys Mechanical (WB)

I want to define a remote force by cylindrical coordinate system in a model but workbench only let me select the point for applying the force in Cartesian CSYS. I have created the cylindrical coordinate system but it does not appear in the dropdown selection of CSYS in the remote force properties. Am I missing something?

Thank you in advance for the help

RE: Remote Force in Cylindrical Coordinate System

you can not apply remote force in a cylindrical coordinate system as force is a vector and its components can only be specified in Cartesian coordinate system. you can apply torque if you want to apply force in cylindrical coordinate system.
