Validation of johnson cook material model parameters

Validation of johnson cook material model parameters

(OP)
Hi,

I have fitted a johnson cook material model for strain rate dependancy using a low strain rate tensile test.
I would like to use the johnson cook material model for impact and drop tests simulations (using explicit STR)
My problem is that I am not confident that the parameters extracted from the test are correct, and I cant think of a simple expereiment that I can do in the lab and then simulate it in Ansys to validate the model.

I will appreciate any ideas how to validate the material model.

Thanks.
