(OP)
Dear All,

I want to do non metallic material testing as per F.1.13 Testing of non metallic seals API 6A.

there are two test : one is immersion test and other is fixture test.

Do anyone have procedure for that ? I have read this API 6A cause. but little worried because hydrocarbon media.

what is the risk factor for testing a seal at 325 deg temp . with 1000 PSI pressure with hydrocarbon media?

RE: Non metallic material Testing as per Annex F API 6A

The risk of an annex F immersion test is significant as the test media described by API also includes the addition of H2S gas. The test can be preformed safely by competent labs. Some seal manufactures such as parker already have test reports on their seal materials. If you are looking to get a material tested Element has done multiple tests that I am aware of, and should be able to provide you with a recommended test procedure.
