(OP)
Hello new to ENG-TIPS, was wondering if anyone is familiar with the dynamic loading procedure for an antique printing press. The client is in the profession of Graphic Arts and has recently purchased a vintage printing press. The gravity load analysis will not be a problem, although the dynamic loads causing vibrations while running is more complicated obviously. My question, as a new engineer, is anyone able to point me in the correct direction, not asking for someone to do my work, just need guidance. My Mentor and Supervisor suggested that we look here for assistance.

Allen78 - By 1920, reinforced concrete design and construction were well established. Using a heavy concrete block (inertia block) foundation that is isolated from the floor of the building would have been good practice then, and now. This article on my website is one place to start: Link

I'd start by asking where it came from and what the last installation looked like.
