Hot forming of repad

Hot forming of repad

(OP)
Dear All,

Is it prohibited by ASME Section VIII Div1 that a repad be formed at a temperature 300 to 400°C ?
This repad SA516Gr70 will reinforce an opening at the knuckle of the head of a pressure vessel. The complete PV will be subjected to PWHT per UCS-56

RE: Hot forming of repad

It is not prohibited. Since you are performing PWHT fiber elongation is not a problem.
