NX TC Material Collaboration

NX TC Material Collaboration

(OP)
Hey Folks, this is my first post to this Forum, my Name is Franz and I work for a small german automotive supplier.

We are introducing Teamcenter (currently working with NX9 and 10) and my part is to manage the Materials for TC. So far, i have chosen this path:
Materials will be assigned in NX from the MatXML file and then transferred to NX using Attributes.
So far, I have already written a Piece of Code for VBA that alters the MatML so we can have our released Materials in there and then assign it to parts. NX will then automatically fill Attributes for the Part Name and Density , which is just what we need. The Problem is, that we not only want those properties, but also properties like the Norm No. for the Material that is stored in the MatXML!

So the Question is: Is there a way to link an Attribute or an Expression to one of the Properties of the assigned Material?
Plus: Can this be done without Codeing, since we do not possess a author license!

Thanks a lot for your help!
Regards
Franz
