I'm trying to create a view breakout in NX10 in drafting, but I'm unable to make the view the active sketch view, I can't find the option anywhere. Am I missing something?

RE: NX10 active sketch view

So you're saying that when you select the view and press MB3, you're NOT getting this pop-up menu with the 'Active Sketch View' option:

Perhaps the view of interest is a Detailed View. If so, you need to select the Detailed View, press MB3 and select the 'Convert to Independent View' option first, then you can go back, re-select the view, press MB3 and you should now findthe 'Active Sketch View' option.

If you scroll about a third of the way down on this page...

...you'll see that I've been using this model since 1983, and if you scroll to near the end, you'll see a few more examples of this model.

Hi John

I worked it our in the end, the view I was trying to create the break out section on already had a broken view applied to it, so The break out had to be either be created first, or the broken view had to be suppressed, or the curves had to be added in the expanded view.

Many thanks for your assistance

Si

Best regards
