corrosion allowance on standart flanges

(OP)
for standart flanges, in ASME B16.5
pressure and temperature ratings are given.

what is the corrosion allowance for those ratings?
especially for standart blind flanges, how can we condsider corrosion allowance?

RE: corrosion allowance on standart flanges

HI

IF YOU REFER EIL STANDARDS (INDIAN REFINERY CONSULTANTS) FOR STANDARD FLANGE FACES YOU NEED NOT TAKE CORROSION ALLOWANCE.  BUT WHEN YOU DESIGN A GIRTH FLANGE YOU NEED TO TAKE CORROSION ALLOWANCE IN BOTH DIAMETER AND FLANGE FACES.

RE: corrosion allowance on standart flanges

     DEAR FRIEND
We chose C.A for vessel (ex.3mm or 6mm) and the same C.A for it's flanges.it means that after flange or vessel is coroded for 3mmor6mm or... mm it should be changed or somethings else.so the flange C.A is the same as vessel C.A.
.For flanges that are in corosion part both inside and outside we chose inside C.A + outside C.A
