Creating an assembly, controlled by expressions, with multiple optional parts and components & d
Creating an assembly, controlled by expressions, with multiple optional parts and components & d
(OP)
Hello again,
So next question. I have an assembly which is, in essence, a lever system. The system has different fixation methods for the bottom of the assy (each which has a significantly different part). Then the system has different sized connections in the middle (sm, med, large) which all have different connections. The length can differ as well. Finally the angle can be one of 2, either a right or a left hand since access. Now what I want to do is make an assembly which can switch between all these different modes with just expressions. That part I believe I can do, but I was wondering if there was a better way.
After that I want to make a drawing pack which can use those different arrangements and just automatically create the drawings without having a drawing for each different part in it, and then just deleting the styles not used. all of this needs to happen without the dimensions falling off every time I update. Is something like this possible?
Thanks,
Jelly

Now as an alternative, you could create these different 'arrangements' (not the Arrangements that I was talking about but the way you used the word 'arrangement') as sub-Assemblies, all of which are included in the main Assembly and then use Expressions to Suppress/Unsuppress the desired sub-Assemblies, which are actually treated as Components in the main Assembly.
