NX9 Journal Show/Hide components by layer?

NX9 Journal Show/Hide components by layer?

NX9 Journal Show/Hide components by layer?

(OP)
In doing searches, I am starting to think I may need to push my company to set me up with Visual Basics. Maybe then I wont need to ask for so much help. clown

We have a program someone made for use that while running it, it will hide all of our fasteners. We keep all fasteners on layers 190 thru 195.

Is there journal code that will unhide all components on a specific layer?

I know it is easy to unhide all, but that would unhide product that takes time to unhide and hide again. So rather than go through the steps to unhide everything on specific layers, or searching for them in the navigator, it would be handy to have a button that simply turns components on layers 190 thru 195 on.

RE: NX9 Journal Show/Hide components by layer?

If you look at the code that does the hiding, you will probably be able to figure out how to modify it to do unhiding.

You don't need to get "set up with Visual Basic". You can just write code in the NX Journal Editor and click on the "play" button. Or, get a freebie VB editor and copy/paste into the Journal Editor. No setup required, really.

If you need help getting started, read the SNAP docs.
