Any idea how to do that ? Ctrl+Select does not allow the ruled selection...

RE: NX85 - Remove Ruled Face out of the Model Reference Set ?

It is Shift + click to deselect something. Also, make sure the selection filter allows for selection of the body.

Are we talking about the "MODEL" reference set? If so, check your "contents" option in the customer defaults (Assemblies -> site standards -> reference sets). If it is set to "sheets and solids", NX will automatically place sheet and solid bodies into the reference set. If it is set to "solids priority" and there are no solid bodies in the file, the sheet bodies will be added.

Ctrl was a typo here but, argh, the damn selection filter that was it!

THANK YOU

I feel your pain !
That selection filter can be frustrating sometimes.

RE: NX85 - Remove Ruled Face out of the Model Reference Set ?

Isn't it a bit weird that we use "Ctrl+Click" to deselect in the navigators, but "Shift+click" to deselect in the graphics ?

NX has been this way since the navigators made their entree into NX, but i still think it's weird. Inconsistent.

RE: NX85 - Remove Ruled Face out of the Model Reference Set ?

The problem is that we were offering the ability to 'deslect' items, using 'Shift-Select', in UG/NX long before we ran on Windows-based systems, where 'Ctrl-Select' was the way to do that, which is why it's used in the navigators and explorer-like dialogs since those are all created using Windows foundation tools so the 'Ctrl-Select' came for free. Now I guess we could go back and change the 30+ year old UG/NX approach, but I'm sure that that would also be met with some significant level of angst as well.
