What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

(OP)
Hi All,
I have found the pskernal_net.dll file in %UGII_ROOT_DIR%\managed folder.
What is the purpose of this dll?
Is it anything useful for NXOpen programming?
I am using the NX version 9.

Thanks in Advance

RE: What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

Sorry but, is this the only file you found in that directory ?!?! smile

pskernel is "probably" "parasolid kernel-something".

What are you trying to do, ??
Hack NX ?

Regards,
Tomas

Currently I am working in NXOpen programming. I know the functionality of other dlls.(NXOpen.dll, Snap.dll). NX7.5 does not have this dll. I found this in NX 9.
Just I want to know about this usage.

RE: What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

If you wish to directly program using Parasolid routines, you will need to purchase a Parasolid development license:

RE: What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

It's a .NET wrapper for the Parasolid kernel. If you use any of its functions to process data in an NX part file, you will almost certainly corrupt the file. It's not for you.

RE: What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

I am more curious why he thought that it was for him in the first place.
The NX9 install contains some +1800 dll's....

Probably because it lives in the same folder as the NXOpen and SNAP dll's which are commonly referenced when programming NX.

RE: What is the use of pskernel_net.dll?

It's a managed DLL (i.e. a .NET thing), unlike most of the NX DLLs, and it lives in the "managed" folder, along with some other DLLs that you *are* allowed to call. So, I think it's natural ask "can I use this?". But the answer is "no", for both licensing and data integrity reasons.
