Expansion joint tie rod material

(OP)
ASME B31.3 Appendix X for Expansion joints makes reference for the use of listed materials for pressure containing parts.

ASTM A36 / A307 CS rods are listed material in Appendix A. Is there any code limitation other than that rods have to have the area required to hold the design pressure thrust. I see that a 36" Class 150 tied expansion joint uses A193 Gr B7 tie rods of 6 nos of 2.5" diameter.

Is there a requirement in EJMA on the min number of the tie rods that has bear the pressure thrust. As a contingency against if one or more of rods becoming ineffective.
