Motor goes backward once it increments down in touchscreen
Motor goes backward once it increments down in touchscreen
(OP)
I have a peristaltic pump that when I increment down by one, the motor reverses itself. Every increment down it does the same thing. Also it will not increment up, so don't know if it is the motor, the Lenze frequency inverter, or the programing on the touchscreen or plc. It has never done this before.
Has anyone encountered this before?
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks you

you will have to give much more information about your system

Is this all info you need Lukin1977?

waross,... I too think it is a programming issue because you cannot increment up as well, just down. We have had this machine for more that 10 years and it just started doing this.
we have 3 pumps on the system to run three different ingredients if needed, but our process right now only requires two. So we have taken pump 1 offline, I am going to replace
the frequency inverter to take this variable out of the loop. Lets see what happens.

What's the last thing you changed? Any recent maintenance?
I.e., if it's not a software bug with a ten year latency, it's a corroded or mis-replaced connection.
... or something else.
... it could even be an end-of-life issue for an EPROM, or a dead capacitor.
Proceed as logically as possible, but beyond the suggestions already made, it's not likely that we can find a cause from our remote locations.
Open up the controls and look for smoke, evidence of recent smoke, corrosion, etc., and at ten+ years of age, almost anything could have gone wrong, so just look for stuff that's, er, odd.

Is the controller oscillating because the motor is unloaded?
