Using RYDLYME Descaler for SA-213 T91 tubes
Using RYDLYME Descaler for SA-213 T91 tubes
(OP)
Dear All,
We are planning to use Rydlyme Descaler as a way of removing internal surface rust of tubes, but we want to know if this Rydlyme solution will not make a negative effect on the tubes. Our tubes are made from SA-213 T91. Does the rydlyme solution will not react to the chromium content of the tubes?

This product has been shown to do less damage to tubing than other scale removal methods.

Have you run a sample test on the scale to assure that this product will remove it?
Like Metengr said, evaluate your options.
High pressure blasting could be an option.
For chemical descaling to work you have to be circulating the solution and maintaining the correct temperature. Do you have a way to do this?
And make sure that your environmental guys are involved. I have seen cases where trace elements in the scale made the cleaning solution hazardous (Th).
