SAP2000 changes&assigns copied&replicated frame elements into some other sections by itself.
(OP)
Hello everybody,
In SAP2000, I copy/replicate some structural elements and when I analyze structure again, I realize that SAP2000 had changed & assigned those copied & replicated frame elements into some other sections automatically. And just because of this, I have assign those frame sections again into the one I wish. When I replicate some elements, I want their sections to stay like they were before. But SAP200 changes it.
So, because of this, it takes time to assign the elements again and again. What can be the problem?
I will be glad if someone can help about it.
Regards,
Latif

When you are doing a copy/replicate, SAP2000 provides you the option to change a lot of options. See "Replicate Options/Modify Show Replicate Options" for more details. Make sure you copy the "Section Properties" of the current section, otherwise SAP2000 will set this to default section.
Cheers!

Surprisingly, I hadn't even realized/used those options while I was replicating. Knowing about those options will help me.
Usually, when I replicate any elements, I need to do it with whole characteristics, assigns etc. And I think, in default, SAP2000 does it in that way too. But maybe I had changed the options by mistaken somehow, I don't know.
Thanks again.
