Newbie with a definitions question!
(OP)
Howdy! I am new to this forum and want to apologize in advance if this is not the right location to post this question.
We are looking over Structural Steel building framing prints and have a question about one notation being used. Most of the beams are called out in a familiar way like W12X65. But some of the roof girders are called out as "W12 x 65k (T OR C)". I am not familiar with the "T OR C" abbreviation. One of my coworkers suggested that maybe it is for Tension Or Compression. Can any one on here confirm if that is correct?
Thank you for your help!
David

Seems odd unless this is part of a single braced frame.
