Above Ground Storage Tanks
Above Ground Storage Tanks
(OP)
Good Afternoon All,
We typically utilize a sand bitumen mix (96% sand, 4% bitumen 45/60) as the tank bottom plate base in order to provide corrosion protection and give a working surface on top of a 4" clean compacted sand layer. Is there concern for the sand bitumen mix to "melt" if it is used for tanks with internal temperatures above 200 degrees F?
Thanks
