Reinforcement of Welded Branch Connection

(OP)
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know about reference of calculation procedure (e.g. academic paper or article) which is represented in ASME B31.3 or B31.8?
Is there any way to find out resources for these "esteemed" codes?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Reinforcement of Welded Branch Connection

I believe that they are based upon the Kellogg area replacement method published in the "Design of Piping Systems" from the M. W. Kellogg company. The book is out of print, but can be located at online stores or in PDF form.
