Underground Storage Tank, Fill Pipe Covers
Underground Storage Tank, Fill Pipe Covers
(OP)
I am looking for information on the height
specifications of underground [ petroleum ]
storage tanks, fill pipe covers.
These covers are the ones you typically see
over the underground tanks, at typical
fueling stations. Some are installed
flush at grade, and others are installed
with the covers slightly above surrounding
grade.
Is there a height limitation [ maximum ]
above the surrounding grade ? In the
Underground Storage Tank ( UST ) research
that I have looked at online, ...the
language only says that none of the covers
shall be installed below grade ( recessed ).
Thanks for any help

thaidavid40,
Thanks for the reply !
The Fill Pipe Covers will have vehicular traffic
on them......Typical low weight vehicles, and
the petroleum supply tankers as well.
I did not see anything in the AASHTO H20 Specs.
that mentioned "designed heights" on these type
of covers.
Possibly, ...do you know of any other resources
besides AASHTO ?
Thanks
