legs design

(OP)
Hello,

I need help to design legs for supporting a skid packaged equipment ( pump + heat exchanger +piping all mounted as skid).
My idea is to calculate the legs as for a vessel, but I am not sure for the bearing condition at the top of the leg.

someone has an idea or calculation method? Thank you

RE: legs design

A sketch would help matters here...

RE: legs design

I would use AISC if steel, ACI if concrete, NDS for Wood, etc. Make sure your capacity of the legs is higher than your load. Same with the material you are placing the legs on. Dont forget lateral loads from dynamic movement of the equipment, or seismic loads.
