Anchor rods

Anchor rods

Anchor rods

I am designing a base plate connection and I have choose an anchor rods confirm with ASTM F568M type 4.6,
now I need to select a suitable nut and washer,, how and what is the suitable type for them???

RE: Anchor rods

Your bolt is on the order of A307 A look at A563.

RE: Anchor rods

I agree with bridgebuster. Although ASTM A563 does not include A568M, however due to similarity, recommendations for A 307 bolts, may be used.

This Link, provides relevant information on the subject.

A good structural engineer is often a blessing for others.

RE: Anchor rods

You mean I should use A307 anchor bolts as it's similar to astm f568m
So what is the right type for wahser and nut for these type

RE: Anchor rods

F568M is similar to A307 Grade A; Low strength steel. Nuts conforming to A563 (check the spec because there are various grades in the spec) and washers conforming to F436 should work.

RE: Anchor rods

In some, maybe most, cases, the bolt specification will refer you to the appropriate nuts for use with it.
