Just out of curousity, would a handbrake turn give conniptions to a stability control system?

Thanks for that, I'll put it into our FMEA. I'd guess otherwise it would brake the front two wheels, and put you into a sideways slide, rather than letting the back whip round.

I can think of two ways of handling it - either disable chassis control when the park brake comes on - easy, but crude, or else set up a special rally drivers calibration, handy for parking manouevres etc!

I suppose I should go and borrow the X5 and find out how they did it.
