I Have a pressure vessel with an upper compartment, and this compartment compresses the below cilinder. How can I do the longitudinal compressive stress per ug-23 b show up in the report?. In other words. I want see the matematic in the report, today this calculation does not appear!

TY.

RE: PV elite UG-23 B

ejagiello, as I (perhaps imperfectly) understand: You have a gravity load transferred from one section of a vessel to another.

Unless you can communicate this situation accurately to the software it, of course, will not do what you want. I am not familiar enough with all the ins and outs of PVE to say.

But: you can most likely calculate your net applied compressive stress by hand, and compare to UG-23(b) allowable.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
