KeywordBlock in Abaqus/Python - Error: "no attribute"

KeywordBlock in Abaqus/Python - Error: "no attribute"

KeywordBlock in Abaqus/Python - Error: "no attribute"

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I'm using this command in Python to add keywords that are not available:

bcmodel.keywordBlock.synchVersions(storeNodesAndElements=False)
bcmodel.KeywordBlock.insert(position=10, text="CONTACT THICKNESS REDUCTION = NOPERIMSELF")

I carefully added these after Step keywords to avoid problems but a error message have been appeared:
AttributeError: 'Model' object has no attribute 'KeywordBlock'
File ... line ... in ,module bcmodel.KeywordBlock.insert(position=10, text="CONTACT THICKNESS REDUCTION = NOPERIMSELF")

I already tried:
bcmodel.KeywordBlock.insert(10, "CONTACT THICKNESS REDUCTION = NOPERIMSELF")
but returned the same error.

I'm using Abaqus 6.14 and according to Abaqus Script, the arguments required are 'position' and 'text'. Both of them were already included.

Could you suggest me some tips to solve it?

RE: KeywordBlock in Abaqus/Python - Error: "no attribute"

Why don't you add something in the keyword editor and look in the .rpy so see what the python code should look like.
