Installation of CS valve on CI pipe line by using Adapter Flnage

(OP)
Hi: I've got an unusual application (for me, anyway) which requires an adapter to take me from Csat Iron pipe 8", Line is Underground Oily Water seawer (OWS)
I need to install 8" Isolation valve in this line, as it is difficult to weld on Cast Iron pipe so I am thinking about to put Adapter flange in between and then install 8" CS valve.
plesae give your expert opinion if yoiu feel any thing wrong while doing this.

RE: Installation of CS valve on CI pipe line by using Adapter Flnage

Adaptor flange between what exactly. Some engineering details or a drawing would help a lot here.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
